the multi-award winning comic musical based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, "The Ugly Duckling".

“Honk!” is full of chirpy and cheery music and plenty of "foul jokes" to make the audience happy. It's a perfect mix for all ages, and has won awards around the world, including a prestigious Olivier Award for Best New Musical (2000).

Spring has come to the duck pond and all seems right until, just after his perfect, handsome siblings hatch, Ugly comes honking into the world. He is big, shambling, short sighted and branded as ‘different’ from the word go. Lured away by the treacherous cat, Ugly embarks on a series of adventures and by the time his mother catches up with him, he is ready for the biggest adventure of his life, and to embrace being different.

Performances of “Honk!” are on 9^th, 10^th, 16^th, 17^th, 23^rd and 24^th October at 8pm and 17^th and 24^th October at 2pm at Normanhurst Uniting Church, Buckingham Avenue, Normanhurst.
